Key Responsibilities

• Teach the MOE English Curriculum to students in accordance with school standards and guidelines.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse student learning needs.
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Utilise online teaching platforms and tools to deliver effective virtual lessons when required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure curriculum alignment and educational excellence.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification such as a B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent teaching certification.
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• MOE approval or eligibility for MOE approval is strongly preferred.
• Online teaching experience is a major plus.
• Strong knowledge of the MOE English Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience teaching English at the primary or secondary level.
• Strong understanding of the MOE curriculum and assessment standards.
• Experience with online teaching platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar tools.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
