Key Responsibilities

  • Manage financial records and ensure accurate bookkeeping for contracting projects.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and handle VAT return filings.
  • Support project-based accounting, including cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting for contracts.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.

Requirements

  • UAE contracting experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and experience with VAT filing in the UAE.
  • Experience in project-based accounting for contracting or construction companies.
  • Solid accounting and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Currently based in Dubai.

  • Proven experience as an Accountant in the UAE contracting or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws, VAT return preparation, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with project-based accounting, including cost allocation and job costing.
  • Excellent financial reporting and reconciliation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with project teams.
  • Knowledge of WPS, payroll processing, and UAE labour law is a plus.
