Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical engineering activities for construction projects from concept to completion.
• Oversee the review and approval of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Manage a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance oversight.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities on technical matters.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with design standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Develop and implement technical strategies to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and authority requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical management role.
• Relevant construction project experience in the UAE is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, design standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical staff.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, and MS Project.
• Professional certification, such as PMP, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent, is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving license is required.

• Proven track record in technical management roles within UAE construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and authority requirements in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.
• Experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including infrastructure, commercial, or residential developments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in contract management, claims analysis, and technical dispute resolution.
